Application Process
The Foundation asks for all initial applications to be in writing and to include the following;
- Background information about the charity or charitable project in question
- Details of the project that currently requires funding including the objective of the project and full operational details of how that objective will be achieved.
- Please include your most recent annual financial statements and regulatory filings (Form 990s, for example).
- Details of the budget outlined in respect of the project
- Details of existing sources of finance, including donations from other Charitable Trusts or Foundations and details of other fund raising activities in place in respect of raising the funds needed for the project.
Upon receipt of the above information, a member of the Foundation’s day to day operational staff may wish to visit the charity prior to presenting its application to the trustees or alternatively to commence discussions with you. Further to this your application will be put forward to the trustees of The Fuserna Foundation for their consideration.
The Fuserna Foundation will usually issue grants between £5,000 and £15,000 in the UK and between $7,500 and $25,000 in the US. The trustees do have the scope to make larger grants which will be considered on a case by case basis.
Applications to The Fuserna Foundation UK
2009 was an exciting year for us with the establishment of Fuserna US and some new additions to our team. As a result Fuserna UK is in the process of re-evaluating its overall charitable objectives including redefining our application criteria and process to ensure that the charity remains focused on its charitable endeavours.
Fuserna UK has been inundated with applications during 2009 and it is taking us longer to process these than we had originally hoped. Therefore we are not in a position to consider any new applications at this time. We will of course continue to support those charities we already have ongoing relationships with and have made commitments to. For any new charities who are interested in applying please check our website again over the coming months for more information regarding new guidelines for applications. If you have already submitted an application and have not yet heard back from us, please be assured we will write to you as soon as possible.
